BodyBalance Classes

BodyBalance is the Yoga, T'ai Ch'i, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. The Friends of the Cardall Collection

Working towards finding a permanent home for the unique collection of papers, photographs and items relating to Southam's past and to document and preserve it for the use of the local community.

Projects are ongoing to catalogue the Collection in a digital archive, to extend it through an Oral History project and to display it in local premises including Schools, the Public Library, etc. There is a current membership of about 50 local people and new members, particularly those who want to participate in the projects, are actively welcomed.

Southam Christmas Lights Association

Southam has been lit up at Christmas since 2000 thanks to the generosity of local businesses, organisations and individuals plus grants from Southam Town Council and Stratford District Council.

The Melody Makers

A choir of about 35 ladies which is run by local piano teacher Alison Cragg. We meet on Wednesday evenings 7.45 to 9.15pm during term time at Southam Primary School, St James's Road.

We are very friendly and enjoy singing a variety of songs from Gershwin to Chopin, via Harry Belafonte. No auditions and no need to be able to read music. We would be delighted to make new members welcome. The cost is £2 per week payable half termly or termly in advance to cover running costs and sheet music.

Southam Ramblers

Walks of about 5 miles are held on alternate Wednesdays throughout the year, meeting in the Wood Street Car Park at 9.30am and sharing transport to reach the start point. Summer Strollers enjoy 3 - 5 mile walks on Thursday evenings from May to mid-August. These leave Wood Street at 7.00pm and return to the same point so no transport is required.

Southam United Charities

Southam United Charities has been in existence for several centuries and its sole purpose is to assist the residents of the Parish of Southam who need help. The income available for distribution is limited but grants are made to students going on to higher education and to individuals in need of immediate financial help where there is no other source of assistance.
